Randolph County Historical Society is solely responsible for the maintenance and preservation of the Creole House in Prairie du Rocher and the Charter Oak School in Schuline. No State, Federal or local funding is received for their support. Although in the past we were instrumental in acquisition of other historic properties throughout Randolph County, the State of Illinois took possession of those properties and is solely responsible for their maintenance and upkeep.
Your donations are NOT used for salaries and other operating expenses but are used only for the support and upkeep of these two properties. Rest assured, when you donate to the Randolph County Historical Society, 100% of the money you donate is used to conserve these historic properties for future generations.
