Death of Julie Gangloff

It is with much sadness that I inform you all of the passing of Julie Gangloff.  Julie died at home rather suddenly in January 2020. Julie was 65 years old and had lived with her husband Tim on a farm just outside of Chester, IL. She was a Charter member of the Randolph Society and was currently serving as our Foundation Secretary. Julie had a servants heart and loved learning about the history of the area. She spearheaded the Randolph County 50th anniversary remembrance of the Vietnam War where she highlighted the Soldiers who died in the conflict.  She was Secretary of the Steeleville Rotary Club, a member of the Liberty Bell of the West Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and a member of the Randolph County Genealogical Society.

Currently there were no plans to hold a wake. She will have her ashes spread on the family farm in the near future.

Please pray for Tim and her family. We will always think of Julie as a person who was excited to be a citizen of Randolph County and was passionate about our history and the people who lived here.
